Capitalism vs the Welfare State: The Next Vote by Sylvia Bokor (August 27, 2009)
There are only two ways to regard man's relationship to society: either he has the right to live for his own sake, or he must live for others. Whichever principle you espouse places you in one or the other of opposing camps.

Barack Obama: A Rookie President by Thomas Sowell (March 31, 2009)
Barack Obama is following a long practice among those on the left of being hard on our allies and soft on our enemies.

An Inauguration of Tyranny: Postscript by Edward Cline (January 25, 2009)
Long live Lady Liberty!

An Inauguration of Tyranny: Barack Obama's in the White House by Edward Cline (January 22, 2009)
Watching news media coverage of Barack Obama's journey to the White House was much like watching the broadcast propaganda of a dystopian fantasy in films like V, or the Richard Burton's 1984, or Fahrenheit 451 -- except that the news media is not a vast government department spewing out lies and disinformation, haranguing and brow-beating the public, but a nominally independent entity reporting Obama's triumph with deliriously mindless happy talk. For all practical purposes, the news media have largely surrendered the sovereignty of the freedom of the press in exchange for the emotional solicitude of 'hope' and the privilege of being a demagogue's mouthpiece.

Political Speeches by Thomas Sowell (January 20, 2009)
If making speeches is one of the tests of a President of the United States, then Barack Obama has passed his first test with flying colors.

A Mess of Pottage by Edward Cline (November 24, 2008)
A demagogue has been swept up into the White House to work with a very simpatico Congress.

Stop Blaming Capitalism for Government Failures by Yaron Brook and Don Watkins (November 15, 2008)
It's time to stop blaming capitalism for the sins of government intervention, and give true laissez-faire a chance. Now that would be a change we could we believe in.

Why The Republicans Lost My Vote by Paul Hsieh, MD (November 14, 2008)
The Republicans lost the vote of many former supporters (including myself) because they have chosen to embrace the Religious Right.

Obama's Victory Speech by Edward Cline (November 10, 2008)
"So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism; of service and responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves, but each other."

The Conservative Package Deal by John David Lewis (November 4, 2008)
No socialist-democratic mouthpiece could ever sow such intellectual destruction as a member of the New Right who mouths the words "freedom" all the while advocating leftists policies.

Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal
by Ayn Rand

Whether you are one of capitalism's alleged champions (Conservatives, Libertarians, etc.), or actually one of its defenders (a rarity in today's culture), or a part of the "humanitarian" lynch mob that seeks to burn a straw man, or just a curious observer -- read Ayn Rand's Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal -- and then judge for yourself.
